Police Kill Pit Bull That Had Its Jaws Around A Woman's Neck Police fatally shot a pit bull who had its jaws around a woman’s neck on Tuesday, Oct. 20. “The Enfield Police Department wishes to stress that action such as this is taken only under extraordinary circumstances,” police said. On Tuesday, at around 4:30 p.m. police responded to a call for help on Spring Street in Enfield. Once there, Enfield Police said they saw a large dog, a pit bull, attacking a woman.
