Man Wanted In Baby's Killing Surrenders To Holyoke Police After Month On Run: DA A 28-year-old Hamden County man who has been on the run since he was accused of a shooting that caused the death of a newborn baby on Oct. 4 has surrendered to police in Holyoke.  Kermith Alvarez will be arraigned on a murder charge on Monday, the Hampden County District Attorney said. The incident took place around 6:20 p.m., Monday, June 28, when the Holyoke Police received a call from Holyoke Medical Center informing them they had just received a stabbing victim in the emergency room, said Captain Matthew Moriarty. Teenager Accused Of Attempting Murder In Broad Daylight A Chicopee teenager has been arrested after allegedly attempting to commit murder. On Saturday, Dec. 12, around 3:20 p.m., police responded to the sound of shots being fired on Sargeant Street in Holyoke. Police were already in the area investigating a report of gunfire at the intersection of Sargeant and Walnut streets when they heard the shots, according to MassLive.
