33-Year-Old Killed Walking Along Route 116 In Western Mass A 33-year-old Sunderland man was killed on Saturday morning, Jan. 6, while walking a road in Hampshire County, authorities said.  The man, whose name was not released, was walking on the side of Route 116 in Hadley when he was struck by a 29-year-old Deerfield woman, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said. No charges have been filed, and the woman's name was not released.  She remained at the scene and called 911.  Bystanders gave the man medical aid until paramedics arrived. Fatal Crash: 31-Year-Old Man Killed While Walking In Central Mass A 31-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning, Feb. 19, while walking near a fast-food restaurant in Milford, authorities said.  The man, who police have not publicly identified, was hit just after 4 a.m. while walking by the rear entrance of Wendy's near the intersection of Dilla and Cedar streets, Milford Police said. Investigators  The driver remained on the scene. Police did not release their name. It's unclear if they will face any charges.  Milford police are investigating the crash with the Worcester District Attorney's Office.

Suspect Arrested In Death Of Western Mass Pedestrian, DA's Office Says Police have arrested a Western Mass man in connection with a crash that killed a pedestrian. The Franklin County crash, which killed a 45-year-old Shelburne Falls resident, took place around 6:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, along Route 2 in Shelburne, said Laurie Loisel, with the Northwestern District Attorney's Office. According to Loisel, the pedestrian, who was walking along Route 2 with a companion was pronounced dead at the scene. Police arrested a 51-year-old Northampton man in connection with the crash.  The victim and the suspect will be identified pending arraignment.&n…
