One Killed After Crash Involving Drunk Driver From Region One person was killed after a man driving drunk slammed into a stopped truck on a stretch of I-84, according to Connecticut State Police. The three-vehicle crash happened in New Haven County at around 7:50 a.m. Friday, Mach 18 on the westbound side near Exit 16 in Southbury. At the time of the crash, state police say two trucks were pulled over, one with a flat tire, and the other a tow truck.   Troopers identified the driver of the vehicle at fault to be Hartford County resident Kyle St. Denis, age 44, of Collinsville, who was operating a Ram, state police said. Police Investigating After Illegal Shooting Of Red-Tailed Hawk In Region The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is seeking the public’s assistance as they look to track down suspects who illegally shot and abused a red-tailed hawk. In December, DEEP officers were alerted to the bird, who was located in New Haven County after being impaled by an arrow in the area of Thorson Road and North Mark Drive in Oxford late in December. Further investigation found that the hawk also had BBs and an air rifle pellet embedded on its body. Man Killed In ATV Crash While Riding With Brother, Friend A Connecticut man died in an ATV accident while riding with his brother and a friend. New Haven County resident Sebastian Constantini, age 47, of Oxford, was killed around 4 p.m., Monday, Sept. 27, in Madrid, Maine, after losing control of his vehicle and crashing. Mark Latti, a spokesman with the Maine Warden Service, said Constantini was riding on the Interconnected Trail System, on a 2019 Suzuki King Quad ATV, and his brother and friend were on separate ATVs following him.  The three were returning to the Saddleback Inn in Rangeley, Maine, after a day of riding.
