Woman From Region Killed During Domestic Event, Son Injured, Police Say A Connecticut woman was shot dead by a man during a domestic violence incident and her son was injured. The incident took place in Hartford County around 8 p.m., Monday, July 17 on Oakland Terrace in Hartford. According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police, patrol officers responded to a 911 caller reporting a domestic incident. When they arrived, officers were met by a man on the porch, suffering from injuries to his head. The man said his mother had been shot and that a man was inside and armed. Man Nabbed For Homicide In Region, Police Say A Connecticut man has been nabbed by police for a fatal July shooting. Hartford Police and US Marshals arrested a Manchester man on Friday, Jan. 14, in connection with the July murder of a Hartford man, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police. Gregory Hopkins, age 34, was taken into custody without incident in Manchester and charged with one count of murder and one count of criminal possession of a firearm, Boisvert said.
