Potential Chimney Repair Scammer Wanted By Quincy Police Quincy Police are asking the public's help in identifying a suspect behind a potential chimney repair scam, the department said on Facebook.  The suspect is described as a White male, between 30 and 40 years old, with a thick Irish brogue, police said. He may also be driving a white pickup truck with Florida plates.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jimmy Chen at 617.745.5766.  The department is also reminding residents about the proper steps to take when hiring a contractor. The sites, all in Hampden County, announced their closures after a wind chill advisory went into effect for the county from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, with temperatures expected in the low single digits. According to the most recent state data, Wednesday, Oct. 7, there are about a dozen “high-risk” or “red” communities in the second half of Massachusetts. High-risk communities have 8 or more positive COVID-19 tests per 100,000 residents - a level that puts the town at high-risk for spreading the disease.
