Putting 'Worchester' First: Kennedy Campaign Dealing With Gaffe
We may never agree on how it’s pronounced, but we can all agree it’s spelled Worcester. So why is Joe Kennedy III running to represent Worchester? An ad for Kennedy to represent Massachusetts as a U.S. senator is causing the candidate headaches right before the primary election. A large ad that ran in the Sunday, Aug. 30 Worcester Telegram & Gazette contained the phrase: “Joe Kennedy III: For U.S. Senate, For Massachusetts, For Worchester.” The primary election is Tuesday, Sept. 1.
