Woman From Region Assaulted In Surprise Attack By Homeless Man, Police Say A woman was allegedly seriously assaulted while taking a morning exercise walk by a homeless man. The incident took place in Hartford County around 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 6 in Windsor Locks. According to Lt. Paul Cherniack, of the Windsor Locks Police, the woman, who is in her 70s, was walking in the area of 34 Old Country Road when a man ran up behind her and "viciously struck her about the back of the head with a closed fist causing her to fall to the ground." Second Body Found On Carson Beach In South Boston: Police Authorities are investigating two deaths on Carson Beach after police found two bodies at different times at the South Boston spot. The first body was reported to Boston police just before 1:30 p.m. Boston firefighters pulled them out of the water near Mother's Rest Area, police said. Investigators did not release any identifying information as they are still notifying their family.  Two hours later, police received a call about another body found on Carson Beach near H Street, Massachusetts State Police said.
