Woman Brought Loaded Gun Into Springfield Court: Police A 20-year-old woman was arrested on Friday, May 5, after police said she tried to bring a loaded pistol into the Hampden County Hall of Justice.  Cristal Matos of Wilbraham was arrested after court officers noticed the gun during an X-ray scan of her bag around 11:30 a.m., Springfield police said. It's unclear why she was at the court.  Matos is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded weapon without a license, and possession of a high-capacity magazine, police said.

Wanted Man Brought 'Ghost Gun' To Puerto Rican Festival In Boston: Prosecutor Police say a 28-year-old Boston man brought a loaded, high-capacity 'ghost gun' with a laser sight with him to the Puerto Rican Festival last week.  Marc Serrano, of Dorchester, was arrested near Franklin Park as he left the festival on Saturday, July 30, because he had an outstanding assault and battery warrant, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said. Police ID, Unveil Charges Against Armed Group Involved In Mass Standoff Police have identified the heavily armed 10 adults and one juvenile who were apprehended after an hours-long standoff in a wooded area off a busy stretch of Interstate 95 and announced the charges against them. The situation began to unfold in the early morning hours Saturday, July 3 on the stretch of I-95 in Wakefield, Massachusetts, just north of Boston. As a result, I-95 was shut down for several hours.
