2 Shot In Chicopee; Police Searching For Shooter Police in Hampden County are investigating a shooting early Friday morning, June 30, that sent two people to the hospital in Chicopee, authorities said.  Chicopee police received a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. about a double shooting near the intersection of Grattan and Meadow streets, officials said. Both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital for treatment.  Investigators ask anyone with information on the shooting or security video from that area at that time to contact Chicopee detectives at 413-594-1740.

Police Searching For Hit-Run Driver In Chicopee Chicopee police are asking for the public's help identifying the driver of a vehicle they say was involved in a hit-and-run last week.  Authorities say a grey Infiniti crashed into a car near Montgomery and Grattan streets on Thursday, June 15, before speeding away. Missing Light Leads To Stolen Gun, Drug Busts In Chicopee: Police Police in Hampden County said they found a gun stolen out of North Carolina and drugs when a routine traffic stop took a sharp turn over the weekend.  Chicopee police spotted the car on Chicopee Street Sunday, May 7, and noticed it didn't have a front license plate or working driver-side brake light, authorities said.
