2 Men Found Dead In Lake In Region After Canoe Overturns Two Connecticut men were found dead in a lake after their canoe overturned. The incident occurred in Tolland County in Bolton at Lower Bolton Lake on Wednesday, March 13. According to Paul Copleman, spokesperson for the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, multiple fire departments responded with vessels and dive teams to search for the men. Agawam Man Dies After Falling From Cliff on Provin Mountain, Reports Say A 20-year-old man from Agawam has died after calling from a 100-foot cliff in Southwick, multiple news outlets report. Southwick Police, Agawam Fire and Agawam Police all responded about a search of a person believed to be in a quarry on Provin Mountain around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, Western Mass News reports.  Police told the outlet the young man “was determined to have died due to injuries from a fall." At least a dozen emergency vehicles were reportedly on scene, WWLP reports.  The man's death remains under investigation.

Rollover Crash In Western Mass Crash Traps Two Inside, Officials Say A serious rollover crash in Western Massachusetts sent two people to the hospital. It happened around 5:35 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, in Franklin County on Wheeler Avenue in Orange, said the Orange Fire-Rescue Department. When first responders arrived on the scene they found a single vehicle that had crashed into a tree and then rolled over, with two people trapped inside the vehicle, officials said. Crews went to work to stabilize the vehicle and used the jaws of life to extricate the occupants.  Both were taken to Athol Hospital for treatment.
