Dead Deer Reported In Region, 3 Test Positive For Hemorrhagic Disease, Officials Say State officials announced that three white-tailed deer tested positive for hemorrhagic disease, as dead deer have been found across multiple towns in Connecticut.  The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) announced on Wednesday, Sept. 28, that the first positive case this year came from a deer found in the Litchfield County town of Goshen. Three Killed In Connecticut Crash  Three people were killed in a morning crash in Connecticut. It happened around 6:30 a.m. in New Haven County in Branford on Thursday, April 28 on Hosley Avenue. Preliminary findings of the investigation indicate that the operator failed to negotiate a curve in the road while traveling at an excessive speed, Branford Police said. 16-Year-Old Killed After Crashing Pickup Into Tree In Region, Police Say A Connecticut teenager is dead after driving his 2004 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup off the roadway and hitting a tree. Middlesex County resident Connor Young, age 16, of East Haddam, was killed around 7:50 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 3, on Mott Road, said the Connecticut State Police. Young was headed west near the East Haddam Turnpike when for an unknown reason the pickup veered left crossing the eastbound travel lane, state police said.
