A 2-year-old boy who died after falling from a third-floor window is one of five children who were allegedly living in "deplorable and uninhabitable" conditions at a Connecticut residence. The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., Saturday, July 22 at 1091 Capitol Ave., in Hartford. According to Lt. School Staffers In Region Accused Of Failing To Report Abuse Employees of a Connecticut school have been arrested on charges of failure to report abuse by a teacher. The incident, which included the arrest of the alleged abuser in January, took place in Litchfield County at the Plymouth Center School in Plymouth. Teacher In Region Accused Of Leaving Kids Home Alone While She Traveled A Connecticut school teacher has been arrested for allegedly leaving two children home alone while she traveled out of the state. Litchfield County resident Kerry Lyn Caviasca, age 36, of Watertown, was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 15, for leaving two children alone for two days and nights, said Detective Mark Conway, of the Watertown Police. According to Conway, the children are ages 9 and 11. She was charged with the risk of injury to a minor and released on a $5,000 bond.
