Tense Standoff Ends After 13 Hours; Central Mass Man Accused Of Shooting Family Captured A 24-year-old Worcester man is in custody after he kept police at bay outside of his house for 13 hours in an armed standoff on Friday, July 7, authorities said.  Police were called to 51 Colby Ave. around 8:30 a.m. after getting reports of a shooting.
