Crews Address 'Significant' Spill After Tractor Trailers Collide In Canton: Police

Delays were expected after a double tractor-trailer crash and fuel spill shut down half of a major highway just outside of Boston, officials said.

The crash happened near Exit 2 on I-93 North in Canton on Wednesday morning, Feb. 22, according to MassDOT. 

The crash and spill closed all northbound lanes as well as the ramp from I-95 to I-93, Massachusetts State Police said on Twitter.

"The spill is significant and will be a long clean up," State Police said. 

People were being told to seek alternate routes as a result. No word yet on any injuries.
