Police were called to the area of Brook Street just after 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, after people heard multiple gunshots, Lawrence police said.
They arrived to find the teenager bleeding from gunshot wounds. Paramedics rushed him to Lawrence General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Authorities did not release the boy's name.
Lawrence police and Massachusetts State troopers are investigating the shooting. They ask anyone with information about the fatal shooting to contact detectives.
