Much-Loved Shirley Eatery Robbed, Community Seeks To Help Identify Suspect A "vigilante passerby" alerted police to the robbery of a local restaurant which is now working to identify the suspect.  A man broke into the Phoenix Bar & Grill, located at 4 Ayer Road in Shirley, on Sunday, June 25 at approximately 3 a.m., according to the Shirley Police Department.  A passerby noticed that something was not right and alerted the police, according to a post on the Phoenix Bar & Grill's Facebook page. Update: Pedestrian, 39, Hit By SUV On Route 1 In Peabody A man was transported to the hospital after being hit by an SUV on Route 1, officials say.  A 39-year-old pedestrian, from Mashpee, received serious injuries when he was hit by a 2021 Toyota Highlander on Route 1 in Peabody around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 1, according to the Massachusetts State Police Department. Details: 2 Killed In Overnight Central Massachusetts Car Crash Two people have died in an overnight crash in Central Massachusetts that originally started out as a road rage incident, authorities said.  A man told police that he and another man were almost hit by a Toyota Highlander while walking near 97 Water Street around 12:15 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, Worcester Police said on Facebook.  The same man waved his arms out of outrage, prompting the driver of the Toyota to get out and point a gun at the pedestrian.
