Support Swells For Newburyport 'Warrior' Woman Seriously Injured In Skiing Accident The community is rallying around an Essex County woman who was seriously injured in a skiing accident. Ana Lynch, of Newburyport, was skiing with family and friends in Big Sky, Montana, on Sunday, March 10, when the accident occurred, according to a GoFundMe. Ski patrol crews quickly got her down the mountain and she was flown by helicopter to a trauma center in Billings. A CT scan revealed that Lynch had suffered a burst T12 vertebra that was causing pressure on her spinal cord. Male Skier, 67, Dies After Crashing Into Tree At Central Mass Ski Area A 67-year-old man has died after crashing into a tree at a Central Massachusetts ski trail this week, according to officials.  Multiple authorities responded to a report of an unresponsive skier at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area in Princeton around 9:25 a.m., the company said in a statement sent to Daily Voice.
