Brush Fire Scorches 96 Acres In Rockport: Officials Approximately 96 acres were scorched by a brush fire in one North Shore town, fire officials said. After several hours, firefighters extinguished the fire near Johnson's Quarry that broke out on Monday morning, Nov. 21, Rockport Fire said on Facebook. The area where the fire occurred was still considered to be under severe drought conditions, according to US Drought Monitor.  Rockport MA is working an 80+ acre brush fire in a large wooded area off Johnson Rd.
