Griswold Crash Leaves Massachusetts Trucker Dead A 42-year-old Middlesex County, Massachusetts, man died after crashing his truck down an embankment along I-395 in Connecticut. Tim Murray, of Ashby, crashed his Freightliner truck in Griswold, New London County between Exit 24 and 28 around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 Construction had closed the southbound right-hand lane of the highway. As Murray merged into the left lane, his 2019 Freightliner hit a guardrail. Murray corrected the truck but not before striking another section of the guardrail.  The truck tumbled down an embankment. The incident occurred in New London County around 1 p.m., Saturday, May 11, at Poquonnock Plains Park in Groton. According to Capt. Man Accused Of Sexual Assault In Connecticut Extradited From Massachusetts A man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in Connecticut in 2021, has been captured. Jonathan D. Tobey, age 38, of Yarmouth, Massachusetts, was extradited on Wednesday, June 22 for the incident which took place in New London County, in December 2021 in Groton. An investigation into the complaint resulted in an arrest warrant being issued for Tobey, who was captured in Yarmouth on Friday, June 17, said Deputy Chief of Police Paul Gately, of the Groton Police. Connecticut Woman Dies After Tick Bite, Department Of Health Says State health officials announced the death of a Connecticut resident who developed symptoms of Powassan virus weeks after she was bit by a tick. The Connecticut Department of Public Health announced on Tuesday, June 7, that the New London County resident who was in her 90s died at the hospital on Tuesday, May 17.
