Trooper In Serious Condition After Car Crashed Into Him In Milton
A Massachusetts State Trooper surveying a wreck in Milton early Sunday morning, June 25, was hit by a car on Route 93, authorities said. The trooper was standing outside his vehicle between exits 3 and 4 around 3:15 a.m. when he was struck, state police said. Authorities did not release his name. A Massachusetts State Trooper and his police dog who were hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on the interstate are expected to recover, authorities say. The car crash occurred while State Trooper Ken Hanchett and his K-9 partner Orry were on duty protecting a construction crew on I-495 in Hopkinton in the afternoon of Monday, Dec. 19, the State Police Association of Massachusetts said on Facebook. A Massachusetts State Trooper was nearly run over on Monday, Aug. 22, after a fleeing woman drove through a police barricade on I-93 in Norfolk County, authorities said.
