Aspiring NFL Player, Former Merrimack College Warrior Killed In Maryland Crash An aspiring NFL player who once played for a Division I college in Eastern Massachusetts has died following a car crash in Maryland, according to his family.  Daniel Elisha Worthy, a former defensive lineman for the Merrimack College Warriors, was killed in the crash that happened in Hagerstown, MD on Wednesday, June 21.  Worthy, who studied Criminology at Merrimack in North Andover, was among two 22-year-olds in a 2007 BMW sedan that had left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree.
