A Lowell man has been arrested in connection with two stabbings that happened in front of a Cambridge restaurant in early January, police said. Joshua Barreau, 23, was charged in Cambridge District Court with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to authorities. An 65-year-old Arlington man was arrested for allegedly vandalizing a Bluebike station multiple times over the past month with homophobic graffiti, authorities said. A 27-year-old Brookline man appeared to be moving more than just his personal belongings when police arrested him for crashing his U-Haul in Cambridge this week, according to authorities. Alejandro Trigo is facing several charges after officers found him in possession of fentanyl and a ghost gun after he crashed his van into a light pole and tree on Rindge Avenue, Cambridge Police report. Trio Targets Elderly Resident In Arlington Home Improvement Scam: Police
Three men were hit with several charges each for trying to scam an older Arlington resident out of thousands of dollars in a home improvement scam, authorities said. The resident told police that three men quoted him $200 to fix a small crack on his front steps on Tuesday, Jan. 10, Arlington Police Chief Julie Flaherty reports. A Cambridge man proved that his bark was worse than his bite when he tried – unsuccessfully – to rob a pet store in Arlington, according to authorities. Lucas Torres, age 70, was arrested following the attempted heist at the Petco Unleashed Store, located at 1406 Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington, around 4:40 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, Arlington Police Chief Julie Flaherty reports. Cambridge Police Officer Suspended For Drunkenly Smashing Into Motorcyclists
A Cambridge Police officer is suspended after he was arrested for apparently driving drunk and causing a multi-vehicle crash, authorities said. Michael Daniliuk has worked with the department as Youth Resource Officer for the past 24 years, Cambridge Police said.
