Student Brings Knife To Marshall Simonds Middle School In Burlington School officials and police are increasing their safety procedures after a student brought a knife to a Burlington middle school.  A student found the kitchen paring knife at Marshall Simonds Middle School around 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, Burlington Police Chief Thomas Browne and Superintendent of Schools Eric Conti report. The student immediately told a teacher and an assistant principal took the knife.  Officials later identified the student who brought the knife to school and told their family, authorities said.
