63-Year-Old Worker From Cape Cod Dies In Accident At Brockton Hospital: DA A 63-year-old worker has died following a construction accident near Brockton Hospital this week, according to officials.  The accident occurred at a site at Quincy Avenue and Libby Street in Brockton just after 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz reports. Cruz said that Roger Porter, of East Sandwich, was leveling gravel when be became trapped under a Bobcat Skid Steer loader. Man Admits To Killing Toddler In Brockton; Gets 10-Year Sentence: DA A 28-year-old man who was accused of shaking a Brockton 2-year-old to death in 2016 pleaded guilty just as his trial was set to begin, authorities said.  Timy Jo Griffin, 28, of Long Beach, California, admitted to one count of involuntary manslaughter on Tuesday, April 4, the Plymouth District Attorney's Office said. A judge sentenced Griffin to 10 years to 10 years and a day for the killing.  Brockton police raced to the home of Griffin's girlfriend on Dec. 5, 2016, after he called 911 when the child was unresponsive.
