A woman with a history of driving under the influence was arrested after she knocked down a telephone pole with her car, officials say. The 33-year-old woman, of Andover, crashed her 2022 Honda Accord into a telephone pole on Sunrise Avenue in Billerica while driving with an open container on Thursday, June 29 at approximately 10:30 p.m., according to the Billerica Police Department. Billerica Police Officer Hospitalized When Bag Of Fentanyl Explodes In Their Face
A Billerica Police Officer was hospitalized after they were exposed to fentanyl while trying to arrest a Lowell man on drug possession charges, authorities said. The officer noticed a vehicle with a canceled registration was stopped on Webb Brook Road around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, Billerica Police Chief Roy Frost reports. One scammer who tried to jump on the grandparent scam bandwagon that has been sweeping Eastern Massachusetts made a fatal mistake when he targeted a senior woman who had no grandchildren, officials say. A 79-year-old Billerica woman called police on Thursday, Jan. 5 around 9 a.m. after receiving a call from someone claiming to be their grandson, "Bobby," according to the Billerica Police Department.
