A sheriff’s deputy in Maryland has been charged with raping a person in custody last week in Wicomico County, his employer announced on Monday, Oct. 31. Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputy Steven Abreu, 30, was arrested over the weekend following a complaint and investigation involving a person who had been taken into custody, officials said. Actor Gary Busey was charged with groping women at a "Monster Mania" convention in Cherry Hill before attendees said he was thrown out. Cherry Hill police confirmed the arrest Saturday in a release that began: "A California man is facing sexual offense charges..." Busey, 78, of Malibu, CA, was charged Friday with two counts of criminal sexual contact, one of attempted criminal sexual contact and harassment before being released, police said in the release. Maryland Man Already Behind Bars For Drugs Gets More Time For Producing Child Porn
A Maryland man already in prison on a drug conviction is facing additional time behind bars and will have to continue registering as a sex offender upon his release after admitting to producing child pornography. Luis Rivera, 34, formerly of Elkton Maryland, was sentenced in US District Court to 20 years in federal prison, followed by 20 years of supervised release, Judge George L. Russell, III announced. Maximum Security Jail Worker Had Sexual Relations With Annapolis Inmate: Authorities
A detention center employee has been arrested after accusations of being sexually involved with an inmate in Annapolis, officials say. Joseph Oluwafemi Osiberu, 41, of Upper Marlboro was charged with a fourth-degree sex offense for the incident that occurred at the Jennifer Road Detention Center around 5:30 p.m., Sunday, June 5, according to Anne Arundel Police.
