Woman Killed, Man Injured In Montgomery County 2-Car Crash: Police A 77-year-old woman from Montgomery County was killed and a man taken to the hospital following a two-car crash Monday afternoon, March 11, police said. It happened at the intersection of Layhill Road and Bel Pre Road shortly before 2:35 p.m. Maria Perdomo, of Silver Spring, was making a left turn from northbound Layhill Road onto westbound Bel Pre Road in a red 2013 Subaru Outback when she collided with a black 2019 Tesla Model Y that was heading southbound on Layhill Road. Boy Hit By Car While Getting Off Bus In Montgomery County: Police A boy was hospitalized after being struck by a car while getting off a bus in Montgomery County, authorities said. The boy exited a Ride-on bus and was struck near the intersection of Woodfield Road and Clearspring Drive around 6:24 p.m., Monday, June 20, according to Montgomery County Police. A southbound 2003 Honda CRV struck the boy as he entered the southbound lanes. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.  CRU detectives continue to investigate this collision.
