6 Tornados Touched Down In VA, MD: Here's Where The National Weather Service confirmed seven tornados touched down in Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia on Wednesday, June 5 — six of them in the DMV alone. Severe Thunderstorms, Possible Tornado, Heading To DMV Region Residents throughout the region are being cautioned that there could be some severe weather heading to Maryland and Virginia.
