The investigation began just after 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, on the 11200 block of Chaucers Ridge Court in Laurel, when officers arrived on reports of a domestic assault, Howard County police said. One Dead In Route 29 Crash A man is dead after his vehicle went up in flames after crashing into a pole in Ellicott City in an early morning collision, authorities say. The victim was driving north on Route 29 at the ramp to I-70 East when he drove off the roadway, striking a sign support pole around 4:42 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, according to Howard County police. The 2022 Nissan Rouge became engulfed in flames after the collision and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
