A police standoff in York County has ended with a murder-suicide, York County Coroner Pam Gay told Daily Voice. A 31-year-old Prince George's, Maryland resident Devon Elias shot 29-year-old Megan Caitlyn Saunders in the chest before shooting himself in the head, around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, according to the York County Coroner's office. The Maryland Attorney General’s Office has released new information after a reportedly suicidal man was shot and killed by police in Riverdale Park following a midday standoff with police. Riverdale Park resident Bryan Coupal, 75, was fatally shot by officer Chad Sunday following an armed standoff in the 4700 block of Oglethorpe Street on Sunday, Sept. 19, according to the Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. Man Apprehended After Barricading Himself Inside Maryland Home
A man was apprehended after an hourslong standoff that began early this morning in Bowie, authorities say. Police were first at the scene shortly before 11 a.m. on Friday, July 22, where there was a man who barricaded himself inside a Gladys Retreat Circle residence refusing to come outside, according to Prince George's County Police.
