Basketball Fight To Blame For Shooting At Maryland LA Fitness, Police Say
A fight over a basketball game that nearly turned deadly at a Prince George's County gym landed a Landover man with serious criminal charges, police say. Nelson Ballard III, 24, has been identified and charged for his alleged role in a shooting that was reported at LA Fitness in the 9400 block of Ruby Lockhart Boulevard in Glenarden last week, resulting in one man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Teen Arrested For Sexual Assault In Maryland LA Fitness Showers, Additional Victims Suspected
An 18-year-old Silver Spring boy has been arrested after sexually assaulting at least two women inside an L.A. Fitness in Bethesda, authorities say. Samba Dieng is accused of sexually assaulting two female members of the gym in the 11400 block of Rockville Pike while they were showering in the women's locker room on the night of Friday, Oct. 21, according to Montgomery County police.
