Maryland Man Slashed Across Chest In Bizarre Weekend Attack A man is recovering after being slashed across his upper torso while walking in Laurel over the weekend, authorities say. The victim was allegedly walking in the area of Charlotte Drive and Jill Lane around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 when two men approached him, according to Anne Arundel County police. One of the men quickly took out a knife and cut the victim across his chest before both suspects ran away. Officers were called to the scene and were able to find the suspects nearby. Police said that officers were at the scene at approximately 5 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, where there was a reported attempted abduction in the 7200 block of Arlington Boulevard in Falls Church.
