A pair of men from Virginia posted bond and were released after they were found in possession of handguns during a traffic stop in Maryland, authorities said. St Mary's County Sheriff Deputy Joseph Senatore stopped a Dodge pickup truck for an equipment violation on Three Notch Road in Lexington Park on Wednesday, May 31, a spokesperson for the agency said. Owners of certain older Dodge and Chrysler models are being advised to keep them parked and avoid driving them after exploding airbags killed at least two more people. Stellantis - formerly known as Fiat Chrysler - issued a "Do Not Drive" warning to the owners of more than 275,000 older vehicles due to the Takata airbag, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). A 34-year-old man experiencing car problems was struck and killed by an impaired driver while trying to fix his car on I-695 in Baltimore Saturday, June 11, State Police said. Juan Rivera was stopped in the right shoulder standing outside of his 2005 Dodge Dakota on the inner loop near I-70 when his car was struck by a 2014 Toyota Tacoma driven by Moto Chapol, 37, around 9:45 p.m., Maryland State Police said. A Silver Spring drag racer was found guilty for causing a multiple-vehicle crash that left one person dead in 2019, state officials said. Noe Daniel Suriel, 29, was found guilty by jury on Thursday, June 9 for causing the death of Rene Antonio Hernandez Jr., 32, during the collision on Georgia Avenue on Sept. 6, 2019, according to the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office.
