Separate Shootings Under Investigation In St. Mary's County: Sheriff It was a violent weekend in St. Mary's County, where the sheriff's office is investigating a pair of shootings that left two with injuries, both in Lexington Park. The rash of violence began shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, when deputies responded to the 21500 block of Wilcutt Street, where they found a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his body. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation of what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
