A 64-year-old registered sex offender in Maryland is facing more than 200 charges in connection to child sexual abuse, according to authorities. The Wicomico County Sherif's Office announced on Thursday that James Arthur Thompson, has been indicted on a total of 228 charges following a months-long investigation into allegations of the sexual abuse of a minor. A Virginia man has been sentenced to 36 years in prison after he was convicted of sexually abusing a child of a family friend for two years, authorities say. Anne Arundel County Police and Department of Social Services first received a report that Hector Rojo, 27, had sexually abused the minor victim on Oct. 22, 2020, according to Anne Arundel County Government officials. A West Friendship man has been arrested in connection to a child sexual abuse offense that occurred at a Taekwondo studio in 2021, authorities say. Steve Choi, 42, allegedly sexually abused the victim at Lion Choi's Taekwondo Studio in the 2000 block of Annapolis Road in Hanover over the course of several years, starting when the victim was 14, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Police have released video footage of a man wanted in connection to a child sexual abuse offense that took place in DC, authorities say. As previously reported by Daily Voice, the suspect seen in the video reportedly engaged in unwanted sexual contact with the victim in the unit block of District Square, Southwest on Sunday, Aug. 14 around 4:42 p.m., according to Metropolitan police.
