An investigation has been launched in Maryland after a "suspicious person" died while in the custody of the Prince George's County Police Department on Friday night. The Maryland Attorney General’s Office has released new information after a reportedly suicidal man was shot and killed by police in Riverdale Park following a midday standoff with police. Riverdale Park resident Bryan Coupal, 75, was fatally shot by officer Chad Sunday following an armed standoff in the 4700 block of Oglethorpe Street on Sunday, Sept. 19, according to the Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. The Maryland Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division (IID) has identified the officers and victim implicated in the police-involved shooting that happened over the weekend in Anne Arundel County.
