A Maryland father has been accused of causing “severe injuries” to his infant, authorities announced on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Oliver Hernandez Caballero, 25, of Damascus, was charged with two counts of first-degree child abuse, the Montgomery County Police Department said. Woman Reported Missing In Montgomery County Found Dead, Police Say
The search for a missing 51-year-old woman ended in tragedy after police say they found her dead on Thursday. Sarah Hughes was last seen on Friday, Dec. 22 leaving Shady Grove Hospital in the 9900 block of Medical Center Drive in Rockville, according to officials. A fervent search was launched by the Montgomery County Department of Police, though there was no update until Thursday, Dec. 28, when the agency announced that Hughes had been found dead. Detectives are investigating a crash that took the life of a pedestrian in Montgomery County, authorities say. Paul Shinn, 46, was fatally struck by a vehicle around 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, in the area of Medical Center Way and Medical Center Drive in Rockville, according to Montgomery County police.
