Maryland First In The Nation To Officially Suspend Gas Tax
Maryland has became the first state in the county to officially enact an immediate suspension of the gas tax. Governor Larry Hogan signed a bill on Friday, March 18, suspending the fuel tax in the state in the wake of record high gas prices with the average being $4.21 per gallon. The bill suspends the collection of the tax, which is $0.36 per gallon, for up to 30 days.
