Three people, including two minors, have now been confirmed dead after a Baltimore townhouse fire left 19 families displaced earlier this week. An 8-year-old boy was one of three people found unconscious when firefighters battled the blaze at the 3400 block of E. Lombard Street in Southeast Baltimore Tuesday, Feb. 27. The boy died hours after he was rescued, while a 13-year-old girl and a 22-year-old man were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. A Baltimore man prohibited from possessing firearms was arrested for using a 3-D printer to manufacture ghost guns after a social media post caught the attention of law enforcement, authorities say. Kevin Wallace, 49, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 29, after a search warrant was executed at a home in the 400 block of North Rose Street around 4:40 p.m., according to Baltimore police. Young Baltimore Parents Could Get $1K A Month In New Program
Young parents in Baltimore City will soon be a part of a pilot program designed to give a guaranteed income in an effort to improve financial stability, officials say. Masks No Longer Required Indoors In Baltimore; Optional In Schools
The City of Baltimore’s indoor mask mandate has been lifted. “Baltimore’s COVID-19 infection metrics are just a fraction of what they were a few weeks ago,” said Mayor Brandon M. Scott in a statement. “We will continue to monitor our COVID-19 metrics and make informed decisions.
