A suspect behind a homicide that occurred earlier this year tried to escape Baltimore Police headquarters after being charged with first-degree murder, authorities said. Samuel Wise was arrested in connection with the January shooting death of Chesley Patterson on Tuesday, April 12, Baltimore Police said. A 16-year-old boy has surrendered in the senseless January killing of a Maryland mom and DoorDash driver Cheryl McCormack, authorities announced. The unidentified teen was arrested on a first-degree murder charge around 12:40 a.m. on Feb. 23 at Baltimore police headquarters, police said. A DoorDash driver in between jobs was shot and killed Sunday in Baltimore, leaving behind her husband and three kids. Cheryl McCormack's car broke down on White Avenue while she was making a food delivery and was approached by two men trying to rob her at 2:18 a.m., WBALTV reports. The beloved manager of a popular Italian restaurant in Baltimore was identified as the victim of a Fells Point shooting.
