Victim ID'd In Broad Daylight Shooting In Prince George's; Police Investigating

The victim of shooting that happened in broad daylight in Landover on Wednesday, March 9, has been identified, police said.

Marvin Scutchings, Jr., 58, of Landover was found with a gunshot wound on the ground in the 800 block of Hill Stream Drive at about 2:15 p.m., Prince George's County Police said. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Scutchings was armed at the time of the incident. Police are continuing to investigate and have identified all those involved in the shooting and are actively looking over evidence.
