NASA Rocket Launch Includes Experiments From Maryland Students, Visible Across Northeast More than 30 university teams including many from the DMV are launching experiments into space as part of a NASA rocket launch set for takeoff later this week. The RockOn and RockSat-C student flight programs will take flight from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, early Thursday morning, June 22. While a map has not yet been released, the launch is visible in states across the Eastern Seaboard.
