The Rehoboth Beach Police Department issued an alert at around 2 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 4 as they searched for Savage resident Richard Boateng, who was last seen in the ocean surf off the beach near Rehoboth Avenue at around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Scott Overland, of Phoenixville, thought he found a piece of candy in the clam he ordered at Salt Air Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, but it turned out to be a rare purple pearl, the outlet says.
