Two Police Cruisers Struck Within Minutes By Drivers In Montgomery County: Police New details have been released by the Montgomery County Department of Police Department after two cruisers were struck overnight while officers were responding to separate calls. At around 10:45 p.m. on Jan. 18, an officer from the 2nd District responded to assist with a shooting call in the 3rd District in Gaithersburg when he was rear-ended by a driver at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Grace Church Road, officials said. Police Sgt. Gregory Jordan passed away on Saturday, Sept. 9 in his home after serving the county for 30 years. At the time of his death, Jordan was assigned to the 3rd District and worked in the White Oak neighborhood.
