Carole Barbara Weiss, 84, was hit by a blue 2005 Honda Accord while crossing the southbound lanes on Rockledge Drive around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, Montgomery County Police say.
The driver and several witnesses stopped and attempted to provide medical aid. Weiss was transported to a hospital where she later died.
This remains an ongoing investigation and charges will be determined upon completion of the investigation.
