A historic home built in 1792 overlooking the North East River was destroyed by a two-alarm fire in Cecil County, authorities announced. An estimated $2.5 million in damage was reported in Charlestown, when a residence known by local residents as the Eagle Point Rod and Gun Club went up in flames on Monday. Police in Prince George's County have arrested a District man who is accused of murdering a 48-year-old businessman in Suitland earlier this year.
