Maryland Courthouse Locked Down Due To Suspicious White Powder Found In Letter (Updated) A Baltimore courthouse had to be temporarily locked down on Monday afternoon after a staffer inside the building got a letter with a suspicious white powder inside, officials say. First responders and HazMat crews were called to the Circuit Court building on North Calvert Street at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, where there was a curious package that sounded alarm bells and led to an evacuation of the second floor of the building.
