A 64-year-old registered sex offender in Maryland is facing more than 200 charges in connection to child sexual abuse, according to authorities. A Virginia man has been sentenced to 36 years in prison after he was convicted of sexually abusing a child of a family friend for two years, authorities say. Police have released video footage of a man wanted in connection to a child sexual abuse offense that took place in DC, authorities say. As previously reported by Daily Voice, the suspect seen in the video reportedly engaged in unwanted sexual contact with the victim in the unit block of District Square, Southwest on Sunday, Aug. 14 around 4:42 p.m., according to Metropolitan police. The Catholic Diocese of Camden has agreed to pay an unprecedented $87.5 million -- in cash – to 300 survivors of child sex abuse. The average payment to each of the survivors comes to roughly $290,000, plus whatever is later obtained from the southern New Jersey's diocese’s insurance companies, under the proposed bankruptcy settlement. A former Baltimore high school wrestling coach has been charged with sexually assaulting a minor while working at the school, the Maryland Attorney General’s Office reports. Former Maryland Park Police Officer Sentenced For Possessing, Sharing Child Pornography
A former Maryland National Capital Park Police officer has been sentenced for possessing numerous videos depicting the sexual abuse of minors, the US Attorney’s Office for Maryland said. Anthony Mileo, 56, of Huntingtown, was sentenced to three years in federal prison and five years of parole on Tuesday, March 29, the office said. Mileo is a former Corporal with the MNCPP and was also a K-9 handler.
