Car Crash Lands Deep In Woods After Striking Pedestrian In Maryland, Officials Say (Video) A driver who struck a pedestrian in the driveway of a St. Mary's County home before coming to a crashing halt in a nearby wooded area has been apprehended. At approximately 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, first responders were called to the 28000 block of Burroughs Court in Mechanicsville, where there was a reported crash involving a pedestrian in the area. Officials say that a driver sped into the area and then lost control, caromed off the roadway and into neighboring woods, ultimately winding up completely turned around.
